Barbara Morrison

Barbara has been drawing and painting since she could first hold a crayon. Her interests are surrealism and textile art. She has just completed a BA in fine art at UHI Orkney, and is about to embark on a City and Guilds Diploma in Creative Textiles in order to further her practice. Barbara is inspired by the creative energy here in Orkney, although the themes she uses in her art are largely from her subconscious and the world of dreams. Barbara’s work is largely figurative, and her mediums of choice are paint (oil or acrylic) and fabric, often a combination of the two.
