Morgan Barnett

As an artist, Morgan focuses on a deep-rooted fascination with identity, heritage, and folk practice in connection with regional landscape. Her work alludes to ancient and domestic subjects involving the self and the dance of reciprocity, through drawing, print, and creative writing. She has a strong attachment to forms of documentation such as writing and photography; as archival materials have always provided the fundamental springboard for her work, and she now uses them to enter an ebb and flow state between drawing, and language, to tell stories of people and their connection to where they live.

Morgan has relocated from Orkney to the Isle of Skye, but remains involved in the collective as a remóti.
