Móti — The First Ten Years

  • The Pier Arts Centre 28-36 Victoria Street Stromness, Scotland, KW16 3AA United Kingdom (map)

We are delighted to be celebrating ten years of Móti Collective with a group exhibition at the Pier Arts Centre this autumn.

Exhibiting together at the Pier Arts Centre is a really special way for us to mark this important milestone, as our founding members were first brought together by the Pier Arts Centre’s graduates’ exhibition Stargazing in 2015. We went on to form the collective in 2016, and have welcomed new graduates ever since.

This exhibition brings together the work of 17 Móti members in a wide range of media including photography, sculpture, printmaking and textiles. Reflecting on our journey over the last decade, we have taken our inspiration from themes of ‘reflection’ and ‘refraction’; as a collective we converge and interact, bouncing off one another with new-found inspiration as we work collaboratively and individually.

Artists included in the exhibition are:
Anna Charlotta Jansson; Beccy May; Elizabeth Bown; Frances Scott; Kelly Marwick; Kristyn Grieve; Louise Barrington; Mal Grieve; Megumi Barrington Uenoyama; Molly Shearer; Samantha Gray; Sarah Wylie; Sophie Macdonald; Sue Whittingham; Tomas Hermoso; Vicki Redpath-Watson; Wendy Barker

We are so grateful for the support offered by the Pier Arts Centre over the years, thanks so much to the gallery for having us!
